IRS forms workshop

REG Chapter 24 · Area V · Blueprint IV–V

The REG exam increasingly shows you forms: a Form 1040 with schedules, a corporate or pass-through return, a K-1, a depreciation or sale form, a disclosure statement, a due diligence checklist, a foreign account report. This workshop walks through the forms practitioners use most, in the order the numbers flow: Form 1040 and Schedules 1, 2, 3, A, B, C, SE, D with Form 8949, and E; Forms 1120, 1120-S and 1065 with Schedules K and K-1; Forms 4562 and 4797; Forms 8275 and 8275-R; Form 8867; and FinCEN Form 114 compared with Form 8938. Each lesson has a condensed form, a worked number, and a diagnostic simulation where you find the errors. Reggie and Sam finish Owen's return and review the firm's business returns. Figures are for tax year 2026.
