Engagement documentation

AUD Chapter 6 · Area I · Blueprint I.E

Auditors say, "If it is not written down, it was not done." Documentation is tested through definitions and through dates. The dates differ between AICPA and PCAOB audits, so most of the marks here come from four numbers: 60, 14, 5 and 7.

In this chapter

  1. Why auditors write everything down
  2. The experienced auditor test
  3. What is in the file: permanent file, current file and tick marks
  4. What every working paper must show

  6. Changes to the file: before and after the deadline
